Today I had the second knee surgery for the ACL injury from last June. Over the last seven months, physical therapy has been trying to get the range of motion back into my leg. In the last three months, there has been no change. I couldn't straighten the knee all the way or bend it all the way. It hurt to stand (to the point where I would lean on the other leg most of the time) and it hurt to walk, every step.
Today my surgeon went back into the knee and removed scar tissue adhesions that had developed including one called a cyclops lesion. Now, I'm my surgeon's second patient ever to develop one after an ACL reconstruction.
In the meantime, I resigned from job in Texas. I was missing home too much. I'm going to move back to Maryland in the coming weeks.
